Key Account Manager

Role

Working with a diverse and dedicated international sales team, this role will assist the sales effort by growing the existing base, delving into the requirements, identifying opportunities and uncovering needs among current clients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Discovering and documenting appropriate solutions and commercial opportunities for all clients, and will involve significant interaction with clients, face to face.
  • Support of the sales team with in-depth understanding of clients’ key issues.
  • Meet team sales targets outlined in the goal sheet issued to you by the Sales Director.
  • This position needs to be a strong advocate for best-in-class methods & procedures, driving the necessary culture of service delivery excellence within the team.
  • Ensures that the services are suitably architected and qualified, all technical and commercial changes are managed throughout the sales cycle and the handover to Service Delivery leave no gaps or errors when the project is delivered.
  • Attend pre-sales meetings with sales staff and meetings with the customer where your input/contribution is required
  • Ensure the propositions proposed are in line with what best suits the customers’ needs and with what we can best deliver.
  • Support the response to technical tenders to agreed timelines
  • Devise presentations for the teams where required
  • Explore every potential opportunity to develop current business and increase sales for the division
  • Ensure customer success and satisfaction is optimised.
  • Work closely with relevant personnel and provide advice, support and consultancy on related technical deals/projects where required.
  • Some international travel involved.

Required Skills

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role, client facing technical account management, customer success.
  • Experience with technical design documentation 
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiar with Software Development processes desirable but not essential
  • Background in Professional Services Consultancy an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Exceptional customer relationship development
  • Progressive organisation and interpersonal skills
  • Genuine interest in growing your knowledge and experience rapidly in a fast-paced industry
  • Exceptional personal drive and ambition to progress your career

Education

  • Desirable third level qualification in IT or Business Systems
  • Some relevant technical qualification/certification is essential.
